16 Things I have Noticed this Month, By: Jett Janowski

1. Floors aren't made out of pillows.
2.  Orange foods taste better than green ones.
3. The fireplace looks like so much fun..to bad no one lets me climb on it.
4. Getting up is easier than getting down.
5. Diaper changing is not fun.
6. I love this thing called crawling.
7. Tails are fascinating.
8. Strolling is super relaxing, I love being outside.
9. Shopping with mom is a lot less boring now that I can sit up in the cart.
10. There are so many things I am not allowed to play with.
11. My dad always smiles when I say, "dadadadadada." I can't figure out why.
12. Quiet is good, loud stresses me out a tad.
13. I get passed around when there are a lot of people - I much rather be playing on the floor & observing.
14. When dad gets me out of my crib early in the morning, he now puts me in the middle of him & mom.  And I was so close to getting to the floor!
15. There is a world outside of the South. But it's a little chilly.
16. Everything is a drum.

A Glimpse Into the Past...

Jett at 6 months, what a cutie!

WOW.

So, Austin & I are sitting in the living room & Jett is playing on the floor. Well, all of a sudden Austin says to me, "Look! Look!" I look, and Jett has pulled himself up and is standing on the floor holding on to the ottoman we keep his toys in. And I mean he was STANDING. Not squatting, not sitting, not hunching....but STANDING. We both just stared at him like, "Wow." He did it a second time, and Austin caught it on his phone. He wasn't standing as straight as he was the first time but you still get the idea.

Officially Crawling!

As most of you know, Jetters has been really scooting around for the past month or so. And boy oh boy, he was really starting to get good at slithering across the floor. In the past two weeks, he progressed to getting up on all fours and rocking, but he would still lunge forward to get going. Well, this afternoon he finally did it (at Momo & Pops house). He got up on all fours and with a hand and a knee...our little guy is officially crawling! He saw something he wanted & crawled right across the room! I suppose it is time to start baby proofing! Jett also loves to push up into a "down dog" position mid-movement (maybe he'll do yoga with his mama...if so, at least he'll be flexible...which means less injuries when he plays professional baseball someday...hey, just saying). But back to crawling, he is not quite speedy gonzalez ...yet. But I imagine, this time next week, he will be a pro (crawler, that is).
